Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

え？newtab関連アドオンだよね？思ったのと違い過ぎて...。
Antes el abrir una pestaña nueva con la página "Blank" abría la pestaña en blanco Y LA BARRA DE DIRECCION EN BLANCO pero a partir de hace unas semanas muestra el texto de _blank y hay que eliminarlo manualmente por lo que pierde el sentido esta extensión para mi

How sad it is we need to add this extension to disable chrome most visited sites from popping up. All i wanted is for google.com to show when opening chrome/tabs. Thank you Jim Schubert for saving me the frustrating task of contacting google to do this.
THANK GOODNESS Google FINALLY fixed the bug that caused the URL to not be highlighted. I've used this extension for YEARS and can't imagine trying to use Chrome without it. Great job, Jim Schubert.
