High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

It is good
Fantastic job. Everytime I had to write a script to change colors for every single website I visit. Now problem solved with just one click! Simple high value!
This has absolutely NO effect on my Acer 14"
The colors on this Think Pad are so faint and it looks like it is a computer from the stone age. There are no vibrant colors, everything is faded. The print is light and can hardly read it. Do not purchase this computer. It is pale in comparison to anything I have ever seen.
It generally does what it says: acts as a quick toggle high contrast filter. The issue I continue to encounter--on both my home and work computers--is that, when a page has to refresh, or if you open a comment box or other embedded and interactable object on a page, the page reverts to standard colors and does not reload the filter. This is particularly cumbersome in a work setting, where I can pinpoint specific functions of a given web app that are guaranteed to trigger this bug. A fix for this issue would be greatly appreciated, as it is both burdensome and time consuming to manually refresh pages every time this occurs over the course of a workday. Really, the simplest fix for my complaint would be to include a feature in Chrome that allows for mirroring of system theme settings--a la Edge and IE (as much as I dislike working in both of those browsers).

It would be better if the toolbar icon changed depending on whether the extension is enabled for the currently shown website.
Doesn't work on settings pages or this webstore page. The whole screen suddenly changing from mostly black to mostly white causes me physical pain.
