Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

wish there was a way to have this use both the new tabs page and apps page like chrome had privously did by default till the dumb new update , either way thank you for your hard work.
Must have! Specially after Google decided to force the "search box" new tab display.
I like the new custom new tab page for putting bookmarks and apps on the same page. However, the bookmarks bar doesn't show folders, and my bookmarks are almost all organized into folders. Additionally, the app names are a little too small, and there doesn't seem to be a way to reorder them. Please fix! I really like what you've done with this otherwise! As for the permissions, perhaps the dev could release a "lite" version that doesn't include the permissions that so many object to? I'm OK with the app's permissions, but clearly many users aren't.
Just a few seconds and I have my Apps page back for new tabs! Huzzah!
I like it, though I wish I could hate it open a new tab and show my history bar without having to enable my history bar. Like how Extended API use to do it.

It used to work just fine, but now I can't save any "New Tab Page" URLs. I try to save it under the options, it confirms "Options Saved", but when I try to open a new tab, it just sits on a blank "Redirecting" screen. I reopen the options, and the "New Tab Page" URL box is empty.

put the bookmarks bar back with the apps please! it'll be 1000 times better
Hate it. I want it gone from my apps, but I can't find a way to delete it. How can I delete it?
