Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

Very good. Does what is says. Also explains the permissions which is why I'm giving it 5 stars (usually don't take the time to rate extensions otherwise)
Excelente Extensio n la recomiendo al 100%...
4 1/2 stars. Does what I want it to do with one exception. I use this at work to discourage novice surfing. Haven't figured out how to put a NO SURFING warning on the page yet. Once I can do that, this app moves to a 5.

It worked for me, i wanted it to open MY Google homepage not the normal one and it worked slight delay but good.
Amazing! If you want to remove the 8 thumbnails for your new tab page, use this extension!! Simply redirect to https://www.google.com and they will be gone!
I don't quite understand exactly what this extension does... Can someone please explain it to me in very simple terms? I'm relatively tech-savvy but after reading the description and a hand full of reviews, I don't quite get it... So you can open a url in a new tab?? I have had this extension for quite a while now and as I go through my extension cleanup, I can't understand what this does and if I currently benefit from having it added... Thank you
