I wanted this for a chromebook until I read it was already built in. But I went ahead and put this on my windows pc and it actually works great! I have a new laser measuring tape that only outputs in excel format and this applet reads it just fine. It did warn me that it could not autosave, but after I let it convert from xls to xlsx, it worked fine.

With so poor editing function, the extension is basically useless.
GoogleDocs で基本的に作業していますが、どうしてもofficeを使わないといけない時に困っていました。 この拡張があれば docxのまま扱えるのでようやく本当に office が要らなくなりました！
Please add support for CSV files :) Also, would much prefer option to Download AND Open (rather than intercept downloads)
Does not work. When I open a file it shows a loading sign for less than a second, then it disappears and the page remains blank. Tried multiple files, same problem. I'm using this on Chromium 70 on Ubuntu 18.04. It seems that other Linux users are having the same issue.
I do like it, it is just NOT working now. It directs me to onedrive.live.com
