This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

И с гуглом и с яндексом всё отлично работает, опять ребятня расплакалась
В Україні працює нормально, але є питання. Тепер ти не шукаєш сайт в інеті, а тебе одразу при запиті у пошукову строку перекидує у чат із ШІ. Це не дуже зручно, було б зручніше якщо б це розширення шукало актуальну, достовірну інформацію, сайти, статті і вказувало на них, замість того, щоб просто преекидувати до себе у чат і там давати відповідь. Ідея цікава, реалізація мені не подобаєтся.
Eu instalei achando que seria parecido com o Gemini, que, quando eu fizesse uma pesquisa no Google, apareceria a pesquisa no Google e ao lado uma resposta do ChatGPT. Assim, teria dois resultados: um do Google e outro do ChatGPT, poupando tempo de pesquisa nos dois lugares. Mas não entendo por que eu iria querer substituir o Google pelo ChatGPT. Sendo assim, prefiro continuar perguntando manualmente no ChatGPT. Seria bem melhor se, ao pesquisar algo no Google, aparecesse o resultado do Google e ao lado o resultado do ChatGPT.

This extension is too stupid. I use Google just to search for key information, in other words, why don't I use chatgpt in software or web form.

Installing the extension makes CGT as the default searching without giving any options to modify/configure. It's all or nothing! 1. As one of the users (Scott Radliff) mentioned, group all search related activities in a single chat thread or provide users the option to configure it. 2. Until then, people could just follow the instructions provided by another user (William Ferebee). Use a keyboard shortcut with CGT as a search engine with the URL https://chatgpt.com/?q=%s&hints=search&ref=ext . The only additional tip is that, in the "shortcut" field, it need not necessarily start with '@', it can be as simple as 'c'. While using type "c<space>followed by the search query.
Please setup a single chat for search and not a separate one for each search. This is going to create a lot of clutter that needs to be cleaned up in the chat history side-bar.
