High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Me gusta. Lo utilizo para google-maps y ver los mapas con más contraste. Deberían de mejorar y hacer que puedas aumentar el contraste a tu gusto, como la configuración de una pantalla de ordenador. Ojalá saquen más versiones con mayores ventajas.

It works but could cause problem to some site even if I turn it to "Normal" for those sites. One example: Netflix, where Chinese subtitle won't show up if it is Enabled although at "Normal" mode.
CAUTION: will ruin your HTML5 player on twitch.tv. Even with the "normal" mode selected for twitch, it still turns all my stream's video feeds completely white. I have to disable the plugin completely to make twitch watchable. Other than that, great extension. Makes all the white black on individual pages where you want it to. Since white is for some weird reason the default color, and white hurts your eyes, you can now make it black.
Works great
Does its job well. Light weight extension that changes the contrast of the browser screen. Easy to remember short cuts, default setting and several different filter options.
I CAN'T TURN IT OFF!! Why is there not a button to immediately turn it OFF!! How deep in is this nonsense buried???
