High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

I am visually impaired with low contrast sensitivity function. This impacts greatly my ability to read text on a white background, so this extension can be quite helpful. HOWEVER... It does not allow you to see settings, this store, and other Google pages using inverted colors. That is completely unacceptable. In fact, I am writing this review on a white background and really struggling with it. PLEASE fix this or I will assume that you care nothing for the visually impaired. I often have to go to Google pages with Microsoft Edge whose high contrast mode works flawlessly. Unfortunately, I couldn't use it to give this review. I really like Chrome and support Google but I am fed up with not being able to use high contrast on important Google based pages. It also doesn't always word and remember previous setting for web pages. It's better than nothing, but if it is fixed, I'd never use Microsoft Edge again.
Looks like Google is discontinuing this. Disabled people probably no longer matter to the company all because of Manifest v3 to get rid of adblockers.

It is good. But pl. add a feature like Invert+DarkGreyScale and Invert+LightGreyScale and Invert+ModerateGreyScale. Or simply BlackAndDarkGrey. This reduces eye strain.
Can't seem to "force" contrasts on certain websites, in particular Google docs.
