High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Absolutely a waste of time, does nothing. Should be tossed in to the garbage can! Removing after this review, which I had to reinstall it just to make this review!
I really like it and find it very useful - but it doesn't work on some pages. Sometimes it will work for a moment on a page and then blink back to the webpage's default theme and stay that way. I find this mostly on Facebook & Google-related pages, and some random ones I come across. I hope this can be fixed in the future, because I am light sensitive and can't view webpages on their default themes typically.

It washes the colors of pictures & videos out. I just want a dark background to reduce the overall screen brightness. But because of how they change all contrast, I can't do what I do most on the internet, watch videos. I use 2 screens, I have a video on 1 & browsers on the other. The white background of the browsers can make it difficult to to watch the other screen because the one with the browsers on it is too bright.
I like this, it is super useful. But when I was done using it, I accidentally uninstalled it while the high contrast was still on. Now, I can't get back to my normal-colored screen. I've tried SHIFT + F11, I've tried re-installing it, but nothing really works. So I guess that my profile is now stuck on high contrast forever.
Yellow on Black is awesome and best for "github". Also high contrast is great. but it darkens the images. Loved it though.
It isn't a bad extension, but it's essentially useless for my purposes. If I could invert the colors of the text and the background of a page without inverting the images, it'd meet what I need from an extension like this.
I had High Contrast before my laptop crashed... I really liked it... I'm just now putting it back on Chrome... I shall check what Asrar Khan is explaining & report it to you-all as soon as possible......Thank You For Everything.......daydude.......
