High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Any1 know how is this compared to Lunar Reader extension ? or did lunar reader modify this towards the community by joining both dark reader and high contrast extensions into 1 perfect extension
Caracas velho, muito bom me ajudou muito, mesmo configurando o PC e o Google ainda sim ficava meio ruim para enxergar, com esta extensão posso estudar e ler antigos de bom sem forçar as vistas para mim esta ótimo, só um detalhe uma critica construtiva, poderiam adicionar uma função modo leitura deixando assim a tela amarela estilo livro antigo com um regulador de coloração aplicando no mesmo um pouco de contraste nas letras. Utilizo muito o notebook e com essa função ajudaria muito, crio que ajudaria muto para os que utiliza tablets ..

(+) Features like this make it possible for people with certain less-recognized vision disabilities (e.g. ocular myasthenia gravis) to go on using computers. Thank you! (-) Description claims otherwise, but it DOES modify color of photos such that they cannot be viewed in any useful way. As a programmer myself, it seems goofy that Google can't filter image content. (-) Chrome does now have a "dark mode" option which is an ideal solution for web sites that support it -- much better than just inverting whatever colors the site is designed to use. BUT this feature only seems to support web pages internal to the Chrome browser. Why not at least support all Google pages, such as those from Google Search?

Thank you for this, I have some visual disability, and sadly Windows Accesbility is not good compared to the MacOS. But with this extension it doesnt matter, I can just use chrome
gostei, é util, porem ele nao deixa escuro somente as paginas, as fotos e imagens invertem de cores tambem, o que fica bem desagradavel
