High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

There should be a day/night function, so it's normal during daytime and another during night time or of own choice. Rating: 4/5 -very good.

Amazingly useful for your eyes! Only flaw it fails on some websites, for example when I scroll the page and it has an info bar, showing strange repetitions of part of the graphics. I'm one happy user expecting the update.
I love this extension ,but I only have two complaints. First of all, in Google Docs, when I'm using High Contrast, it has a ton of flashing symbols everywhere. I didn't know where they came from until I tried disabling high contrast. Also, often when High Contrast is on and I'm opening a new web page, it has a flash of the normal colors.
gr8 addon movies have to be put to full screen
Very useful but it has some bugs. When I am on some layouts are broken. Example google Maps
Really good start, nice config options, only problem is it also inverts the colors of embedded video. You already exempt photos from color inversion, need to add video as well.
This lacks in several respects to googles own apps. Google Docs works very badly in combination with this. Also facebook is severely damaged by enabling this. This isn't work aroundable by simply disabling it for the specific website but the extension itself must be deactivated for facebook and docs to work. How can this be, especially when google develops both docs and High Contrast? I still use it all the time, but always with a little bit of mental pain.
Mac's inverting color is faster/superior and less bug. This does not work with google doc and some websites.
Really really bad on youtube since it changes the video too. Hacker Vision is much better imo.
