High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

The only thing I could ask for is that it have an option to reduce the site to black text on white background, no matter what it started as. The grayscale makes pastel background colors a dark gray and harder to read.
keyboard shortcuts should be customizable.
Can't disable for certain websites where it doesn't work, and keep enabled by default for other sites. Facebook, for example, has the chat bar messed up by this addon
It would really be helpful if it had a red on black option in addition to the yellow on black. For improved night use.
Useless for my visual impairment!!! I have an eye disease where I need to soften background colors. This & Win8 options don't help me at all like "Change Colors" app under Win95 did.

MY CONCERN: All was ok recently. Now, I opened the browser first time since the last friday and the invertor is broken. The components with inverted colors now are over-saturated and burnt out. They look very pale and have a pale glow around them. This problem repeats on my home computer, as well as on my work computer. I assume there was some update to Chrome or the extension. That renders the extension almost unusable, since the eyekick with that color error is barely bearable. Turning on/off, restarting the PCs or whatever does not really help. Any ideas? AS FOR BUGS: 1) google drive and map do not work well - looks like javascript-heavy web pages somehow have problems with their javascriptish elements 2) text in text inputs on some websites is invisible. I think this is related to bug 1, described above.

Excelente aplicación, funciona muy bien al invertir los colores de las páginas web. Aplicación básica para los que no nos gusta el color blanco en la pantalla.
