why was it removed and now it is?
While the extension still works, forcing pop-ups with stupid reminders about security checks and browser updates that can NOT be disabled is blasphemy. That's not what this app is for, nor what most of us here signed up for.
Leider aufgrund des ständigen Popups sehr sehr nervig. Die App tut ansonsten was sie soll und hat einige gute Features. Aber wegen des Popups habe ich sie nun deinstalliert. Vor allem auch deswegen, weil der Entwickler - siehe englischsprachige Kommentare - nicht mal im Ansatz auf Probleme eingeht. Er kopiert lediglich seine 2-3 Texte und fügt sie immer wieder ein. Ziemlich peinlich sowas..
Running this with no other extension. Every day, four popups will show alternating between "Click here to upgrade Chrome" (not using Chrome), and "Click here to scan for vulnerabilities." After latest update, a button now shows under the YT player saying "Improved Player", which leads to some Top 100 Videos. Will now look for alternatives.
This extension is magnificent. It really improves YouTube all around. I'm an old user. Also, I like the fact that it warns me of Chrome's updates. Previously I used the portable version of Chrome, which isn't updated so fast. Following this extension's warnings to be updated, I switched to the regular version of Chrome to always have the latest and most secure version. It's an improvement. My only issue is that sometimes YouTube doesn't fully load and I need to refresh the page, but it's okay because the extension is great. Thank you.
STOP SPAMMING ME WITH USELESS POP UPS. I AM FINALLY SO SICK OF THEM THAT THIS THING IS GONE. DO NOT GET IT. Great otherwise, stupid dev.
It started showing me popups saying my chrome version is outdated and I need to update the chrome browser. This is none of your business. It's supposed to be a youtube extension but rather it gives me pop ups over and over.
This extension used to be a real handy little tool, now that has been tainted by constant useless pop-ups. Deleting.
