Even if you are not browsing YouTube, this plugin frequently shows a pop-up window that noisy, futile, rude, irritated and never helpful to use YouTube. Impudently, it will stick its nose in your security settings of Google account and the status of Chrome update. Furthermore, it never allows disabling to show pop-up window.

5 star extension apart from the constant popups...
This is malware, straight up. Spams you with annoying popups. Used to be amazing, and still has good features, but I'm not using malware to get good YouTube features.
I have been using this extension for years, it is really useful for me, because I use youtube a lot. i am not sure why there are so many negative reviews, because if it actually is some kind of spyware/malware, my computer would have died a long time ago. And about the popups, i only ever get them on my trashy mac upon chrome starting. i never get any issues when i am on my windows 10 gaming pc that i built myself.
