I've been using MAFYT for at least 7 years and I like it quite a bit. Also, I've never had a problem with it or the problems other people have said they've had from Reddit forum posts or from the negative reviews here. Honestly, a lot of the complaints I've read are exaggerated, overblown, trivial, or misleading whiny "1st world problems" BS. Personally, I don't care if you let me know of your other add-ons, give me notice that my Chrome version isn't up to date, or other miscellaneous stuff. I can give your other programs a try, as I have, and ignore or act on the notices now or later. So, if there is a malicious and meritless smear campaign against MAFYT, or if Google just wanted you to abide by a set of standards that weren't being followed, I hope you get the issue resolved. As of 3/20/19, I'm glad to see MAFYT back up on the CWS.

Just so you know, I am not one of these "other devs" the developer is referring to. I am a regular user of Youtube and I used to like this app a lot. However, like many other people, I am plagued by a pop-up every time I open Chrome. "YOUR BROWSER IS OUT OF DATE": I don't care. Chrome will update itself as and when it chooses. Stop the popups and your review score will go back up.

This app, when it works, is great. It buffers entire videos so it won't accidentally stop loading. Great. Now the problem. Constantly, a popup will try to tell you to update your Chrome browser, saying it is not up to date. Any competent user can go to settings and click update. No problems here. This popup though, tries to get you to click on developer tools and "update" to an unofficial, non-Chrome store version. What the heck man? If it works, it works, if you have to have a shady update like this to try and get people to turn off safety procedures, then it's BS. Waiting for Serge Strukoff or "A Google User" to respond with calling me a fraud or a developer of another app because they don't trust authentic feedback.

Started out as a cool and useful extension, but recently it feels as though this extension is worming it's way more and more into my system. Telling me my system or software is outdated, that some apps have access to private data and annoying popups all over the place. Just do what you advertise and stay away from the rest. Uninstalling.

The features are nice. But the app constantly notifies you to update this, secure that, etc. Even after things are updated. And there is no way to disable these notifications. So I'll be finding a different extension with similar capabilities. Self righteous developers think they know better than their end users.
