Privacy Badger sends the Global Privacy Control signal (https://globalprivacycontrol.org/) to opt you out of data sharing and selling, and the Do Not Track signal (https://www.eff.org/issues/do-not-track) to tell companies not to track you. If trackers ignore these signals, Privacy Badger will learn to block them.
Besides automatic tracker blocking, Privacy Badger replaces potentially useful trackers (video players, comments widgets, etc.) with click-to-activate placeholders, and removes outgoing link click tracking on Facebook and Google, with more privacy protections on the way.

Added to Chrome multiple times and each time it comes back as 'corrupted' and will not run. Cannot repair. Reinstalled numerous times and same issue persists.
Corrupted and repair does not help.
I was unable to open Google Contacts from my Gmail account, it turns out Privacy Badger caused the problem - avoid this until the bug is fixed

Works as described out of the box.
No longer works (icon always has a 0 by it). I also see the "Not from Chrome Web Store." I have removed and reinstalled. It would be nice if this could be made to work again. Using Version 55.0.2883.95 (64-bit) on macOS 10.11.6.
Been using this extension for a long time. Really useful to keep malware and ads off the websites I use - and fascinating sometimes to see how many trackers some sites are trying to use!
EDIT: They updated this same day and it is now fully functional. Thank you for existing EFF and all your help!!! Uh oh.. "This item has been disabled in Chrome. [Enable this item](link)." Clicked link and get the same error message. Will give 5 stars once updated. Thanks EFF! Windows 7 Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87
"This extension may have been corrupted" Any time frame for a fix?
EDIT: problem fixed, back to 5 stars. "This extension may have been corrupted" I uninstalled and reinstalled. Same thing. macOS 10.11.6 with the latest stable Chrome (updated today).
