Hover your mouse over any image on the supported websites and the extension will automatically enlarge the image to its full size, making sure that it still fits into the browser window.
This is an open source version of the original HoverZoom extension which is now overrun by malware and deleted from store. In this version all spyware has been removed, many bugs were fixed and new features were added. It doesn't collect any statistics by default. The only permission it needs is to access data on all websites (to extract full images), and *optional* permissions to access browser history, download/save images or get tab urls for per-site configuration.
Sometimes sites change design and when it happens extension needs to be updated. Please report any issues with zoom not working by using Support tab or https://github.com/extesy/hoverzoom/issues page.

it works nice for me, i love being able to fast forward videos and gif especially

Amazing buttt... let us have more controls for hovered vids like make the keys always work like in google images it gets annoying even tryna use the touchpad gesture lol, but nonetheless it is an intuitive masterpiece, sir.
Clunky and annoying to use. Enabling video support just sucks, even with a 2.5 second delay it somehow manages to load videos as you move your cursor over any link with a video on it, instantly. Then you have to reload the page to stop the invisible video from playing as you still get the sound! Also doesn't support iob.imgur.com, not like anything else does but still.
Good
I'm pretty sure this extension has problems with twitch.tv. Sometimes when I hover over a stream, the whole tab will crash and recover after about 10-20 seconds. This doesn't happen when Hover Zoom+ is disabled. Maybe it's an interaction with other extensions like BetterTwitchTV or FrankerFaceZ. I'll run some tests in the future.
Not functioning always and misses many photos
Questo add-on funziona quasi sempre bene, ma anche io ho dei problemi su Facebook dove è molto lento e talvolta non ingrandisce le immagini
This is a great extension, but it doesn’t work for Streamable.com links. Please fix this and I’ll give it 5/5 stars.
Works well. Be sure your ad blocker doesn't interfere with any of its functions.
