PDF.js is a Portable Document Format (PDF) viewer that is built with HTML5.
PDF.js is community-driven and supported by Mozilla. Our goal is to create a general-purpose, web standards-based platform for parsing and rendering PDFs.
This extension offers PDF.js as the default PDF viewer in Chrome. This is the official Chrome extension of the PDF.js project. Be careful of unrelated copycats.
If you want to use this viewer to view local files, visit chrome://extensions/?id=oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm and put a check before "Allow access to file URLs".

This app does not work. Initialy was good, but now is bad. The app open a black file anytime and.. this is. I want to uninstall but I don't know how.
For standard PDF viewing instead of downloading, it's great. But apparently some sites generate PDFs via some unique method which render this extension useless. Until I can use it to view all PDF files, I'll just disabled it. It's a pain to turn on and off when you realize a PDF is not compatible. (Which in my line of work, is about 50% of the time.)

I was annoyed how Chrome would want to download every pdf link instead of just viewing it. This extension saved me much time as some sites are so unorganised and don't properly label all files. This extention is a blessing. Now pdf's open in a new tab and I can choose to download only the pdf's I want to keep.

Necesita mejorar la interface. Funcionaría mejor como aplicación que como complemento, para así poder elegir si abrir un archivo con esta app o abrir con el que trae google por defecto. Y sería genial que pudiera eligir el tipo de fuente y color. Pero es un grandioso comienzo.
I liked it until the recent upgrade. JS is too slow
