It’s the add-on for Google Chrome, it turns browser into what it has never been in it’s life: a browser that is no longer resource killer (and if you have ever used Google’s browser you know very well what I’m talking about, with the results on Windows or macOS). The Marvellous Suspender has everything you need to allow you to control the behavior of active / inactive tabs and thus free up RAM when possible, in a transparent way, you do the first configuration and then you forget it exists, what you can do is only that couple of clicks that will serve to manually suspend a tab that you have awakened by mistake by selecting it.
Fork of the original The Great Suspender, but without those modifications that go to invade user privacy. You can find the official repository at github.com/gioxx/MarvellousSuspender, feel free to participate if you have the skills to do that.
You can learn about updates on TMS by following the blog and the official extension page at https://gioxx.org/tms :-)

looks pretty handy, but having a screenshot of the page is a must for me, and the option to enable it doesn't seem to work. just flicks back to "disabled".
Funciona muy bien
Love it
I had 975 chrome tabs open when I turned on the extension. I did performance tests after all 974 were "suspended" which all went fine but I wanted to compare those results with all 975 tabs "unsuspended" to see the difference in performance. Well, when I went to unsuspend all 975 using the unsuspend-all-keyboard-shortcut it....well, it sure "unsuspended" alright, and then continued unsuspending and continued and continued. That was about 40 minutes ago and it is still unsuspending, with my CPU usage at 95% and memory at near 100%. My system is lagging, to say the least.
I'm a software engineer and this is by far the worst chrome extension I ever installed, It didn't work as it was suppose to, but also when i removed it, all the tabs that were "suspended", WERE GONE. I LOST ALL THE TABS! BE CAREFUL DONT INSTALL THIS EXTENSION !.
Great addon. Thank you Giovanni
Внезапно, с глюком TMS после обновления Chrome - всё пришло в норму! Suddenly, with a TMS bug after Chrome updated - everything is back to normal!
Been using this extension a long time and love it. It saves a ton of RAM when I have lots of tabs open. For the recent 'blank white page' issue, I found that clicking anywhere in the white space and waiting a few seconds brings back the expected look and behavior of a suspended tab. (Someone else found a different workaround by doing Chrome's "safety check", which may also work.) Edit: looks like the latest Chrome update fixed the 'blank white page' issue. Huzzah.
Works fantastically, and now I can stop keeping my own local copy of the unpacked extension. The ability to migrate your old extension "code" to the new one is great, really saved me a lot of hassle while fixing up my existing browser setup.
I went through the white blank page issue after the last chrome update, but I noticed that it's still working fine in my other chrome profile. After some digging I solved the issue: - Go to chrome settings => privacy and security => safety check. - After doing safety check it asked to relunch chrome to finish the update. And it worked fine after that, so I hope it can help you as well.
