It’s the add-on for Google Chrome, it turns browser into what it has never been in it’s life: a browser that is no longer resource killer (and if you have ever used Google’s browser you know very well what I’m talking about, with the results on Windows or macOS). The Marvellous Suspender has everything you need to allow you to control the behavior of active / inactive tabs and thus free up RAM when possible, in a transparent way, you do the first configuration and then you forget it exists, what you can do is only that couple of clicks that will serve to manually suspend a tab that you have awakened by mistake by selecting it.
Fork of the original The Great Suspender, but without those modifications that go to invade user privacy. You can find the official repository at github.com/gioxx/MarvellousSuspender, feel free to participate if you have the skills to do that.

❌❌❌❌❌ OH MY GOD, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS. THIS EXTENSION CLOSED CLOSE TO 100 OF MY TABS THAT I CANNOT REOPEN NOW. DON'T. DOWNLOAD. THIS. It works only if you don't have a big number of tabs open, otherwise it doesn't. Update: I decided to use it for a bit after writing this to see if it was a bug or something bad on my part (it wasn't, auto tab discarding was turned off right away, so that wasn't what did it, or was it left to close anything anytime, even when the memory is low). After using it for a bit, it AGAIN closed TENS to A HUNDRED of tabs in the background without my knowledge or approval. Not discarded or suspended, COMPLETELY CLOSED MY TABS. They cannot even be reopened with CTRL + SHIFT + T. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS.

EXCELLENT! pour ceux qui comme moi ouvrent des tonnes de page en même temps (surtout youtube) c'est nickel pour la ram; une page non "suspend" me prends dans les 150 à 500 Mo de ram, mais quand elles sont suspend 1379 Ko seulment. Avec toutes les option et personnalisation du fonctionnement de l'extension disponible c'est parfait pour moi. J'aurais une suggestion pour l'extension qui est pour moi le plus gros défaut dans mon cas d'utilisation de l'extension, c'est que même si on rest voir les logo des sites quand il sont "suspend", moi je bookmark des tonnes de sites donc quand je bookmark sur chrome des sites qui sont "suspend" avec cette extension, je ne vois pas le logo du site dans mes bookmark, je vois seulement le logo de l'extension. et moi qui ai des miliers de bookmarks, devoir passer ma souris sur chacunes des site dans mes bookmark qui étaient "suspend" pour pouvoir savoir de quel site il s'agit c'est dommage, sinon c'est excellent et je vous remercie à tout ceux qui ont contribué à cette extension.
Это расширение определенным образом меня травмировало. Функцию свою оно конечно выполняет, но в результате отключения данного расширения (из-за его конфликтов с другим расширением) огромное количество нужных вкладок просто безвозвратно унесло в трубу. Автоматические бэкапы не предусмотрены, хотя функция их создания есть, она осуществляется лишь руками. Не описать словами как я зол из-за такой подставы, от всего сердца хочется влепить единицу, но умом все же понимаю что вина расширения условна. Впредь буду внимательнее, но пользоваться данным расширением вряд-ли теперь буду.
