It’s the add-on for Google Chrome, it turns browser into what it has never been in it’s life: a browser that is no longer resource killer (and if you have ever used Google’s browser you know very well what I’m talking about, with the results on Windows or macOS). The Marvellous Suspender has everything you need to allow you to control the behavior of active / inactive tabs and thus free up RAM when possible, in a transparent way, you do the first configuration and then you forget it exists, what you can do is only that couple of clicks that will serve to manually suspend a tab that you have awakened by mistake by selecting it.
Fork of the original The Great Suspender, but without those modifications that go to invade user privacy. You can find the official repository at github.com/gioxx/MarvellousSuspender, feel free to participate if you have the skills to do that.

I dig this extension. I would like them to fix a few bugs though: ability to suspend now ability to whitelist/not suspend ever sometimes when a tab gets suspended, it redirects it to my home page (in this case, my Toby home screen) I found this extension after The Great Suspender went away. It's been head and shoulders better ever since.
clicking the Not Now button besides the Tab will suspend automatically doesn't work. the only way is to whitelist sites which very inconvenient. used it for 2 months like that waiting for an update to fix it but it never happened...
On Chrome, When using the function save group on tabs that are suspended, when close and reopen chrome, the tabs are gone. If I click each tab on the group on the arrow to go on back, the site comes back, but when I click to unsuspend it, it hangs. Only if disable save group is that I can get the page to load. Sorry for the bad english. Thank you for this extension.

5 STAR THIS IS COMPLETELY USLESS TO A 13 YEAR OLD LIKE ME and i like is useless very cool have a nice day :)
Used to work great but lately it keeps crashing. Same happens on Edge.

It used to work well, but suddenly I cannot load my suspended tabs anymore. They appear as blank pages, as if Chrome cannot even render anything in the window. I can see the correct URL, but there is nothing to show. I tried reloading the page and force reloading but nothing show up. The tab appears to be dead (and it isn't blocking). I have around 900 tabs and I suspect all of them are dead now. Shame. I liked this extension. Restarting Chrome didn't help. I can Duplicate the tab and switch away from the tab to make the duplicate load (takes 2-3 seconds). If I do not switch away, the new tab wont load. Then I can close the old tab. I guess I have to do this 900 times. Update: It eventually working, but took much longer time than normally. Using the chrome task manager, I see the extension consuming around 800MB (says 772,234K... not sure if that is 800MB or 800KB).

this app can literally prevent the global warming with the amount of power it saves... literally great. very humanistic and environmental much like perfect love p.s: ty also for reviving the app from its dead flesh it just feels like the same and just as perfect the dopest app the dopeous suspender dopest suspender literally dope dopeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee k bye
