It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Very light and it's the only one in its kind that doesn't distract visually, and also AUTO HIDES. Thanks to the developer.

Been using on my windows PC for a long while now. Love it. Watched youtube game walkthrough videos that were 4 hrs long in about 1 hr! Problem today is...I just installed on my Ubuntu linux laptop and disabled flash, restarted chrome, cleared cache and enabled in incognito yet the extension isn't working on YouTube nor on Crunchyroll. Anyone having this problem?
The speed panel is at the middle of the screen for netflix, after netflix update
As important as this functionality is, the design couldn't be worse. I waste too much time explaining issues with design, if you want me to point out the obvious, just ask. I've had enough of this restrictive BS design for setting shortcuts and am looking for an alternative that's had at least a bit of thought put into it. Also, the settings page is almost unusable with every native dark-mode option on every chrome-based browser. I'm patient. I can wait a year, maybe 2 if I'm feeling lazy, but no more.
When I use it on my laptop, I can drag the small window with the mouse. When I use it on a desktop computer, moving the mouse over the small window in the upper left corner will not show the button "+ -" to speed up or slow down, nor can I drag it. Who can tell me what the problem is.

The app works well to speed up or slow down videos, but the creator decided to put the "Cool New Tab Theme" browser hijacker into the app, which redirects your Chrome browser search to yahoo for ad-generating revenue.
