Extremely useful and convenient. But now experiencing problems using it, is it related to the shutting down of Google Dictionary? Hope they maintain this extension though

So far as the linguistic treatment ( Eng to Eng) is concerned (eg various meanings, usage, synonyms etc), this device is exceptional.

User installs extension and optionally configures language/preferences in options page. While browsing any website, double-clicking a word triggers a content script that sends the word to the background service worker, which fetches the definition from Google's dictionary API (dictionaryextension-pa.googleapis.com) and displays it in a pop-up bubble. The toolbar popup also allows manual word lookup. If enabled, looked-up words are stored locally in chrome.storage for later review.
