Saved me $140 bucks on one purchase!
While the cashback program works like any others out there, the irrelevant pop-ups are more annoying. A new "feature" is unacceptable tho, scanning my Amazon history after the computer restarts. It opens a browser window briefly, which Chrome recognizes as a session. When I open Chrome, all my previously pinned tabs are gone. I would like to see an option to opt out of this function.
I WISH I COULD GIVE NOSTARS!! I HAVE EMAILED THE SUPPORT TEAM AND HAVE GOTTEN NO SUPPORT. I MADE AN ACCOUNT WHILE HAVNG ONE ALREADY. ALL I HAVE ASKED 5 TIMES IS FOR SOMEONE TO PLEASE DEACTIVATE ONE ACCOUNT AND PUT MY [email protected] ADDRESS. NO ONE WILL HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE LOST MONEY FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO DO BONUSES, I CANT CONFIRM MY CELL NUMBER BC IT IS "ON ANOTHER ACCOUNT". H.E.L.P. M.E. OR FOR THR VERY LEAST EMAIL ME DIRECTIONS ON HOW I WILL DO IT MYSELF!
this extension is becoming extremely annoying. Randomly popping up a new window to look at your amazon purchase history, no options to disable popups for specific sites, and overall extremely intrusive. I am only using them for the price compare and stock notification which they bought out octoshop.
Had to remove, after it started constantly opening my amazon order history 200+ times a day.... Even reinstalling did not fix. Odd issue, but oh well.
Ibotta truly has the worst customer service. I'm a mild mannered, reasonable person but come on. I've used their service from launch. Years. Both app and extension. I just needed help with the smallest thing and they were totally unresponsive. I got no response and then robot messages. Amazon, Ebay, Walmart... I've need had any issues or complaints with any customer service in my life. In fact, this is only negative review I've ever given. Ibotta you stink. Honey is far more useful extension for everyday shopping.
Extremely annoying and unstable extension. Only using it because they bought Instok (OctoShop extension), which on its own could be annoying but nothing compared to how bad the ibotta is. There are no easy options to close it or suspend it temporarily. It constantly is popping up to have me login, which upon clicking brings me to the already logged in account page on their website. Closing one popup, when you can close it (they tend to freeze needing a refresh of the page you are on), simply opens another (often an endless string of the same popup with no option other than to close or refresh the page). When the popup does close you are stuck with this pink tab on the right that you can close, for the current page you are on... clicking on any product or moving to another page within the same site/store immediately starts the entire process over again. I find myself disabling it most of the time. I primarily used OctoShop for notifications of sales. ibotta, does a worse job of this, and lower rewards than any other app I have used. Rakuten always (100% if the time) offers better rewards on any site they work with. For sites they don't offer, ibotta is beaten by Microsoft, Honey, or really any other rewards app. I am not even going to get into the frustrations of using this in store or on your phone as that is the terrible product not just the extension. Basically I would recommend avoiding at all cost. The money you may save (but likely wont) is not worth the aggravation. And the extension uses more than its fair share of system resources (cpu, memory, and even gpu, especially when it gets into one of its many many many stuck, frozen, or loop states).
I love Ibotta and I love that the extension helps me save money when shopping online. However, I would love if Ibotta was able to link to my Kroger account as it does with Walmart. Crossing my fingers Ibotta is able to link with all stores and not just Walmart.
It kinda does what you want, I only wanted it for the in stock notices from "Octoshop" after it was purchased. However this extension eats CPU and Memory insanely high, like no joke, watch CPU and Memory in Chrome is easily 2x to 3x higher than before this extension. It has a lot of memory and CPU leaks... its constantly popping up "Sign up for 5% cash back" and similar, even when I ask it not to... This is bordering on reporting for Chrome abuse...
works for me every time love it
