Couldn't live without it - Can you make the notifications go away after a few seconds?
- Spins icon a lot - Can't receive calls - Doesn't remember which tab is open
In Chrome 26.0, the GV icon frequently (several times per minute) makes its spinning refresh motion. Very distracting and a change from earlier behavior.
GV is an essential app for me but the Chrome extension is behaving quite poorly since the latest update; have to login constantly, always shows one unread text when opening new tabs, etc... and for crying out loud, why no MMS? Such a silly limitation
Works Great, I wouldn't be without it.
What happened? I've used this no problem for months and ever since the last update, the little icon is really slow to refresh, and those pop-up things are obtrusive. They can't be set to fade out, you have to click the little X and that's a pain in the butt when you get as many texts as I do. So I've disabled that, but now I'm relying on the little icon, and that's suddenly useless. I'm back to using my phone... like a barbarian!
so many small bugs...
It would be nice if it would update a bit faster. Often, I get notifications of 3 or 4 messages at once, when they were sent over a period of maybe 5-10 minutes!
The concept is great, but the UX could stand dramatic improvement. Sometimes the window inexplicably closes while I'm composing a text; sometimes the text from old texts I've already sent remains in the compose box; it requires too much scrolling and clicking if trying to maintain an IM-style conversation; and several other issues that drive me nuts. But I repeat, this is a great concept that I hope Google sees fit to continue to improve. It's an indispensable part of my communications workflow.
Its buggy on Chromium Version: 25.0.1364.160 ,won't pop up new SMS sometimes.
