Lost stars because in July 2019 Google removed the ability to send SMS using this extension (you can still receive, but not send). Google, please reconsider deprecation of this extension. It is useful, well-used, and well-liked by users, and it makes Google Voice 100% better, so please consider re-implementing and supporting it. More info on Reddit here: http://j.mp/2ZrtjPs
Before the update, the notifications would actually update in a timely manner. No, I have to refresh whatever page I'm on at the time in order to refresh the extension. And if I hope to see if I have a message or not, I have to again refresh the page. It's more useful to just keep the webpage open; it will actually refresh. The icon also really needs to be updated to reflect the ACTUAL icon for the service.
A recent update has caused it to be far less useful. The extension icon no longer updates to show when a text has been received and it doesn't clear after I've viewed a text. I have to reload the Voice tab for it to update. It's been years... give us MMS, or at least a notification of when one is attempted even if it can't come through.
Had it years, can't live with out it!
It use to be great. Now it is horrible; doesn't always pull new notifications, doesn't always notify when it does, other times notifications remain after being read. This is a terribly neglected Google project...
Please add a seperate pop up window so when I see a txt coming in I can just click it and txt without having to pull up my inbox showing my other txts. Other than that I'm loving it..
Google Voice is a great app.
Simply stated: I just love it.
I love it works great.
The most recent update seems to work very poorly. Notification sounds no longer work, and the extension doesn't seem to get push notifications- it just updates itself every once in a while, not clearing away old notifications or showing new ones until its next update time.
