I like this plugin. It normally performs well, but I've just had to disable it because it has a massive memory leak. If you leave Chrome open long enough (it might be five minutes or an hour), memory usage will be in excess of 1 GB and the Chrome Task Manager indicates Voice as the culprit. I hope it gets patched soon.
Got bugs that needs addressed.
Installed, logged into Google Voice, and the extension never worked. Always just prompted me to get a GV number, which I already have.
As a text messaging interface, this is great. As a way to call people, it does not work with the new Hangouts. Clicking "call back" or clicking on a phone number on a webpage is completely broken since the new Hangouts took over my inbox, and it's disappointing to see this get ignored.
It seems that on the mac retina chrome is slower than safari??? and the google voice plugin has this weird small white popup that has nothing inside and won't go away... please fix it!!
Google Voice is the most awesome way to call some body.
Exlente!
I can't tell if it's this extension, or Chrome, that is getting buggier and buggier. This extension will often open the bubble with the wrong size, hiding the 'call/text/inbox' tabs. Sometimes clicking the extension will close the entire window I have open, forcing me to reopen it. Sometimes it will leave a bubble hanging that I can't close without killing an entire window. This used to be one of my favorite extensions, but recently it has become buggy as hell. I do not recommend it. New bug: If you click a number in a webpage, it will NOT always call the correct number. I called five separate numbers using this and they all routed to the same one. This appears to be a bug with Google Maps, as it replaces the contents of the same panel in the page, and the Chrome extension doesn't update properly.
Sometimes messages wouldn't make the sound for notification immediately, so i would have to check! But besides that it's awesome!
Outstanding usability, clear concise, its my main line.
