love this app
It would be WAY better if it could run in the background like Google Hangouts can. That way I don't have to have Chrome open the entire time waiting for my friend's text.
Used to be my favorite, but recently it bugs out (empty window that doesn't go away, sometimes causes the whole browser to minimize). Running OS X Maverick.
good apps clarity is good
Works about as well as expected. Sometimes it's a bit delayed on receiving messages however.
To be clear, this 1 star rating is for this extension, not for Google Voice as a whole. This extension has gotten progressively worse. The pop-up notifications simply do not work. No sound is heard with a new message. The phone number click-to-call feature is overridden by the Hangout's Plug-in (so clicking the number starts a call in hangouts). The icon does change with a new message/missed call, but lags. Better to just leave the GoogleVoice site open in a tab.
Without Google Voice, I would essentially be without a telephone. Now that it's starting to work with some short-codes, it's even more useful. Thank you, bugs and all. - Heather
