Extension to return old Twitter layout from 2015 (or 2018). WORKS IN 2026!

This extension doesn't add any CSS on top of original Twitter. It's fully different client that replaces original new Twitter client, making it faster than alternatives that just add style on top of Twitter. This extension requires you to be logged in to Twitter account.

Please visit https://twitter.com/old/settings after installing to make it work just as you like. It switches to chronological timeline by default, you can switch back to algorithmical timeline in settings.

You can visit unchanged Twitter by visiting https://twitter.com?newtwitter=true.

The extension is amazing, it's way more customizable! I would give 5 stars but the videos only play for 1 second. the rest is pretty great. one other thing that would be nice, if I could "X" out the "Trends" sidebar. Thanks! :) May 21, 2024 Edit: tried out this extension again recently, the videos are much better, have another star. Although they're able to continue playing even after interacting, and can be played again in the comment section window in unison. Also the polls display correctly, but can't be interacted with unless in new Twitter. BTW the previous suggestion still stands :)

Great Extension but it doesn't have the option to choose the location of your Trends.. I have them set to Japan on the actual twitter but this plugin doesn't seem to be taking this setting at all. Something that you can look at?

TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ’legacy’) I get this when I try to go to the media page of any user.

Love the option but there are some significant problems -- some pages simply won't load, it breaks the functionality of uBlock Origin and lets a lot of ads through and, as mentioned by others, Blocking seems to be broken. One big suggestion I would have it an option to toggle it by clicking the extension icon and to move Settings into a Right-click option.
