Extension to return old Twitter layout from 2015 (or 2018). WORKS IN 2026!
This extension doesn't add any CSS on top of original Twitter. It's fully different client that replaces original new Twitter client, making it faster than alternatives that just add style on top of Twitter. This extension requires you to be logged in to Twitter account.
Please visit https://twitter.com/old/settings after installing to make it work just as you like. It switches to chronological timeline by default, you can switch back to algorithmical timeline in settings.
You can visit unchanged Twitter by visiting https://twitter.com?newtwitter=true.
The code is open source! Check https://github.com/dimdenGD/OldTwitter to see the code and report any issues.

It's great when it's working. Unfortunately more often than not it doesn't work.
Great extension, though since twitter.com finally got updated to x.com (unfortunately), the extension doesn't work. Definitely hoping for an update, no longer used to the new twitter layout lol.
It stopped working working today. Keeps redirecting back to default x.com rather than twitter.com. I've tried reinstalling it several times, updating it, and through my browser's manage extension settings. Maybe the latest X update broke OldTwitter. Please fix :( Otherwise, absolute fire extension please keep cooking!
The extension is great but I had to stop using it, my account was blocked several times due to spam and it always returned to normal when I deactivated the extension! I occasionally get this message and then they ask me to solve a captcha. "Authorization: Denied by access control: To protect our users from spam and other malicious activity, this account is temporarily locked. Please log in to https://twitter.com to unlock your account.; Missing LdapGroup(weaverbird-admins)."
That's a neat extension! However the tweet schedule feature is missing

Muy buena la forma en la que cambia la interfaz esta extension, hice algunos ajustes con CSS ya que no me terminaba de gustar, pero excelente extension recomendado, habra forma de usar la ultima version de twitter restaurando la seccion de fotos y videos ya que actualmente se muestra como una vista de grilla/cuadricula?
