The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

Very sadly, it does not work. Tried configuring it so the default behavior would be to save a link, i.e. to HTML, but it keeps saving to PNG which is useless. Saves by default to the root folder of your Drive, but once you change there is no way to make it back to the root. Another real problem is you can't save to Shared Drives directly. So even if it worked, you'd have to save to your Drive first, then go to your Drive, then move it to the desired location. Can't afford negative productivity.
This feature used to be great before the recent update/changes requiring you to download the extension. Now anytime I "Save to Drive" a PDF document, it only saves it in black and white, not in color. This is super frustrating because now I have to download the PDF to my computer directly to then turn around and upload it to Drive whereas before, it was very easy and efficient to just save the original version to Drive from the Print screen.

How do I authorize it? I don't see an option :/
I do like this option a little better for saving a full webpage, but I do NOT like that I can no longer save a PDF to my Google Drive account in the Printer Dialogue. That was a LIFE SAVER because all I had to do was see something, CMD + P and then it would upload to Google Drive. Please bring this feature back. I understand that Cloud Print is going away, but don't take the ease of uploading away with it. I LOVE that feature! Also, I do NOT want to see an upload box pop up every time I save something. I want it to be seamless and check the upload progress by clicking on the icon in the shortcuts area of the browser. Thank you for your understanding and work on this.
Can't get authentication to work, so it's of zero value. Logging in, I get "Invalid credentials (missing or invalid oAuth token)", and no way to retry. Reloaded browser, tried again with password visible to make sure I didn't typo, and same failure. OSX, Chrome Version 87.0.4280.141
