The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

画像の保存には便利なんですが、 mhtで保存できるのに、Drive側でそれをページとして開く方法がない。 htmlソースじゃなくレンダリングした結果が欲しいのに、痒い所に手が届かない感じです

when i installed it i thought it has an option of directly uploading any stuff to Gdrive, but it only captures the page and saves in gdrive. Google please make it to be used as one can upload any file to their respective drives, i.e droping or dragging files to extesions dropdown menu, to upload files directly to Gdrive, without opening Gdrive to do so, THAT WILL BE REAL REAL COOL.Isn't it? NOTE : GDRIVE IS ALL ABOUT UPLOADING FILES TO DRIVE IN ORDER TO SAVE DATA, NOT SAVING WEBPAGES AS JPEG,PNG OR HTML etc. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER METHODS TO DO THAT JOB.
Good idea, but has a file size limitation. In its current form it is useless except for crazy cat people to save images of cats.

It can be very helpful to save certain types of files, such as PDFs, directly to your Google Drive. Unfortunately, you cannot set it to prompt you for a folder to save it to. The option to save a page as a Google Doc does not work. It just hangs on "downloading" and does nothing. Saving as MHT is not helpful because MHT files are not viewable in Google Drive. Saving as an image (PNG) not only gives you no context info (e.g. the source URL) but gives the information in a format that you cannot select text from. Using Chromes print option and printing to Google Drive, while not that convenient, works much better. But, for now, I'm sticking to Evernote. While I would like to consolidate my notes and Web clippings into Google Drive, it just isn't up to snuff yet.
I want to save an url (like a bookmark). Specifically, I want to bookmark a YouTube video url.
Doesn't save PDFs. This is just a screenshot tool not a 'Save to Google Drive' extension. We need a way to save various file formats to a specified folder on Google Drive (.pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt, etc). Basically, it should emulate the Evernote Web Clipper extension.
