The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

Like others have said, I tried saving an article but it saved it as an image PNG. I usually print and save the article as PDF then to my gdrive. Thought this would save steps but still needs work.

When i could select the folder where the file should be saved while uploading, then 5 stars! Please add this function :-) edit: Extension: "Save to Google Drive" offers the possibility to change the folder while saving the file. Please also add this function.

Muito bom. Pode-se salvar um arquivo pdf aberto direto no Drive, para isto tem-se antes de permitir acesso aos URLs do arquivo na página de extensões do Chrome.
i don't understand why there would be an option:Save Link to Google Drivewhen one right-clicks on a link to bring up the context menu...I receive the same warning message/window every time which reads:This is a link to a web pageOpen the link, and save the page using the Save to Google Drive button to the right of the address bar.this would be a screenshot or screen capture, something that i can easily do already!The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.* Adds a browser action to save the current page.* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.* Configurable through an options page.So the 2nd item on the list. There it is: save hyperlinks. I realize there is no need to do this since you simply save bookmarks to your, well, bookmarks, but if you offer this option, why not let us save a hyperlink as a .URL to the google drive... and if not, why even offer it as an option? -- only to have a message pop up every time informing you to "open the link" first so it can take a screenshot of the page?i do like being able to right-click on a image and directly save it to my google drive, and i'm sure it would work similarly with other media, but i have to wonder why this isn't simply just a part of the default chrome browser app when using google drive. who wouldn't want an option to be able to save something to their google drive?so i guess it is somewhat useful, but i truly don't understand the bizarre inclusion of an option to save a hyperlink, but not really work - to give you an obvious message for something that was not the initial intention: saving the hyperlink (URL)!
