5 stars because a) it blocks my ads, it blocks them like crazy, i didn't realize how much I hated seeing all those ads until they weren't there anymore b) Michael and Katie provide fantastic service and listen to feedback. I do think it makes things run a little slower on my browser, but I think that's true to a certain extent of any extension you add. Great work! (the optional payment is a nice idea, I decided to give a few bucks, I hope you do too)
Incredible add-on/extension for my Chrome Browser. Even though my computer is built for super multi-tasking (8gb RAM), AdBlock has made my web-browsing extremely enjoyable. It blocks adds and thus makes it less taxing on my machine, PLUS it's a much more enjoyable experience to browse the web and watch shows on different video-hosting websites GET THIS AND INSTALL IT ASAP.
I've tried to keep my extensions to a minimum. AdBlock is on the top of the list, along with Minimalist. Do donate if you can manage it. I did. In terms of earlier posts: I've checked several of the complaints, mainly the CPU issue, and I don't have the problem. One suggestion to folks having problems with extensions having side effects. Disable ALL OF THEM. Reboot. Then check for problems. Then turn on the extensions you most need. That will give the authors of the extensions enough information to be getting on with. I just did this with an extension I'm trying (1Password) and it helped them immensely. You will help AdBlock get better if you help debug.

If I had to give up an extension this one would be the last to go. Love it.
Cracking extension, works great. You forget how effective it is at hiding adds after a while - The last time I used a friend's laptop to browse some familiar website, and was shocked by how different they look without AdBlock enabled - a real mess. Can't browse without AdBlock, it's essential. Only one gripe: there needs to be an easy way to enable it in incognito mode! Also, if you found the extension useful, do think about donating, even if it's just a few dollars. I was happy to give a little back, as AdBlock has given me a lot in return. Even the crappiest sites look like they have better design once AdBlock hides all the nonsense on the page.
