Zotero is a free, easy-to-use, open-source tool to help you collect, organize, annotate, cite, and share research.
The Zotero Connector automatically senses content as you browse the web and allows you to save items to Zotero with a single click. If a PDF is available, the Connector can save it to your library to read later, and it can even save snapshots of webpages in case they change or disappear. Whether you're searching for a preprint on arXiv.org, a journal article from JSTOR, a news story from the New York Times, or a book from your university library catalog, Zotero has you covered with support for thousands of sites.
Additionally, if you use a web-based proxy to access resources your institution subscribes to, the Zotero Connector can automatically redirect you through the proxy when you follow links to those sites from elsewhere on the web, making sure that you always have access to PDFs and other gated content.
While the Connector can save most pages directly to your zotero.org account, for the full Zotero experience be sure to install the Zotero desktop app, which allows you to organize your references efficiently, insert citations automatically into Word, LibreOffice, and Google Docs, and much more. You can download Zotero for free from https://www.zotero.org/download

É uma extensão praticamente impressindível para facilitar o trabalho de transportar referências da web para o Zotero (que deve estar rodando). Porém, ele sem motivos prévios para de funcionar, se desvincula da sua conta ou não capta o artigo mesmo estando nas páginas recomendadas pelo próprio zotero (pubmed, scielo etc). Para piorar a solução dada pelo próprio desenvolvedor é "desisntale e instale novamente". Sacanagem! É ruim mas não existe melhor
The citation connector on Docs works horribly. It takes ages to insert an citation.

This could be very powerful, if it would work reliably. I am especially referring to the google docs integration. 1. Sometimes i have to reconnect my google account to zotero for every single citation. 2. I am having trouble getting over 100 citations to work in one doc. Is this a fixed limitation? I can't think of any reason for such a limit. 3. Adding a new citation is very slow. Sometimes taking up to 10 or 20 seconds until it appears in the document. Using newest version of zotero on mac with chrome
I love Zotero, esp. the plugin for Chrome. Works 95% of the time compared to Endnote and mendeley which are a bit more hit and miss. Thanks guys!
Better than anything else right now. Can't believe it was so hard to find a proper tool for references

最近一次更新后，在pubmed就没法使用了，无法变成文件夹（folder）图标，只能保存检索结果（snapshot），按论坛说的更新了translator重启了无数遍都没用。希望能尽早解决这个问题。
Zotero extension extremely helpful for transferring citation information and pdf's of articles and book chapters into Zotero. Extension button will download full pdf automatically in some research databases (like JStor).
