This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

I've been around a lot for dark themes and I really didn't find better than this web extension
SAVED MY EYES FROM THE BURNING WHITE SCREEN
Works good, but has this bug where the "auto" mode keeps disabling once in a while with no reason (and I always have to go in the extension setting and re-enable it) I'll try other similar extensions to see if there's something better
It is REALLY EXCELLENT for what it does. What is needs - is to be ON for certain sites and OFF for other sites. Not just on and off. It is possible to adjust all sites differently - BUT... It has to be ON or OFF for ALL. :)
I love this dark reader. However, I might have to get rid of it as it does not work with gmail as it inadvertendly hides the options at the top of the page (e.g., delete, move, archive). Please fix??
potato private parts are particularly.... private there now you know im not a bot anyways this is a great force dark mode extension but it kinda breaks on google slides last time i used it but that was a while ago since i moved computers
Dark Reader seems to be displaying colors and tabs incorrectly as of a few days ago on Google Calendar. I have been using Dark Reader for Calendar for several years now and I suspect this is a little glitch that can be fixed easily. Specific glitch seems to be contrast is off and previous events being brightened as opposed to faded out. Would love for this to be fixed as soon as possible.
The best dark mode extension out there! And it's open source! Great work guys!
tu programita esta mas bugeado...no deja abrir la configuracion y eso que lo tenia instalado hace unos meses..ahora que lo vuelvo a instalar no abre la ventana de configuracion a si que perdida de tiempo y de app..no la bajen
