What's New in 3.0:
==================
* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

But WHY WHY WHY???
wtf google, shouldnt need an extension for this
Great that there was an opportunity to get this feature back. Once you are used to using hotkeys, it is very difficult to change your habits ;)
What was wrong with the old methods.... this is stupid that an extension is required. Back to firefox for me.
I actually sighed with relief to be able to do something that I've been doing for years. I do it out of habit and it's unbelievably obnoxious to have it taken away from me (in my case, personally) without warning. I was still hitting the backspace button to go back purely out of sheer habit and nothing would happen. Again, unbelievably obnoxious. There was nothing wrong with how it had been done before. If someone were to disregard the popup window that would warn them that they were about to lose what they were typing and continue on, that was their own fault, it wasn't like they hadn't been warned. Why should the majority of people have to install an app to have something back that they've been using for so long because people refuse to read a pop up window that warns them of what they're about to do. It isn't fair, right and I foresee you're about to lose a lot of users google. Poor move. Also I've heard others say that they had to sign away their lives. I didn't have to do that, all I had to do was install the app as I would any other google chrome app. Perhaps this was due to not having an account? I can't be sure, but it added the backspace feature instantly (as soon as I had added the app).
Funktioniert nicht. Löscht in Formularen den Text nicht mehr. Sorry, aber nicht nur beim Chrome und Erweiterungen hat die Qualität der Google Software nachgelassen. Was ist bloß bei euch los?
Requiring an extension is of course rubbish but hallelujah for at least restoring this feature!
Really shouldn't be needed. Why the hell there couldn't just be an option to suit the idiots loosing so much data on forms I don't know. I've used the backspace for years and never had a problem. On the odd occasion I had filled in data I'd get a nice popup asking me to leave. but it was always intentional I had to click out of whatever input box I was in first. 87k+ users of this extension shows people used the backspace!!
Спасибо. Это второе после адблока лучшее расширение!
It's so nice to see an extension re-add a feature that some idiot decided to remove. Why it was removed in the first place is beyond me as it's been a feature of web browsers for as long as I can remember using web browser, at least 10 years.
