Version 1.2.0 adds dark mode support.
Version 1.3.0's only change is to use manifest_version 3. For this extension, this does not affect behavior at all. The change is required to keep the extension listed in Chrome Web Store.

I added this extension to google chrome not happy with it so I wanted to delete it but when I click on more tools and extensions in google chrome it takes me to a google chrome app window same for settings when I click on settings in google chrome it takes me to chrome app window. How do you get to settings in google chrome without it taking you to the app window? I've reinstalled chrome two times and it's still doing it.
useful extension
I started using this after the "New Tab Page" extension stopped working. However, now that I'm using Windows 10's Dark mode, having plain white new tabs appear is too startling... I wish this extension let you choose the color.
This extension makes it so that any new tabs that you open are completely blank with a blank title. This is more or less exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
