This extension automatically tells Chrome that every tab you open is "not auto discardable". This might help solve issues where Chrome kills more tabs than you would want to, however, this is not foolproof, and tabs might still get discarded if your system is out of memory.
No configuration needed, the extension will mark every open tab as "not auto discardable" as long as you installed the extension and haven't disabled it.
Want to make sure this extension is working? Go to chrome://discards in a new tab and see how every row has a cross in the "auto discardable" column.

Had to restart my chromebook for it to work, but it does work. Screw Google AND their auto discarding. Edit: It's stopped working. Tabs constantly auto discard now. :(
Stops Chrome from reloading my tabs every time I click on them. Brilliant app, so useful!

tabs still refresh. maybe they refresh slightly less than without the extension, but as far as I can tell this extension does not do what it says it does.
This stops the automatic discarding of tabs that was happening even if you had plenty of ram left. I can listen to a podcast in a background tab again!!! Come on google, if I wanted tabs to stop and reload when I went back to them I would have kept my ipad. Note: it will still discard if you are running out of ram, as it should to avoid a crash, but they had started just doing it after a certain amount of time, without regard for what ram you had left - you couldn't listen to podcasts, youtube etc in a background tab anymore, you couldn't trust uploads going on in a background tab, nothing. THIS EXTENSION FIXES THIS.
Awesome extension...thank you. P.S People, for full control of tabs hibernating, use this extension and one "hibernating manager" aka "The Great Discarder/The Great Suspender/etc".

this doesn't work the tabs keep reloading! smh
