High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.
When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while your browse.
Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.
Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

Going to the Yahoo website causes the browser to uncontrollably and incessantly "blink".
Slowed down my chrome way too much. The scrolling starts to lag tremendously. Disabled and scrolling went back to normal. If fixed will totally redownload.
J'adore l'idée mais c'est flou...
It is super dumb.
Does not work on all websites.
This extension is only barely functional. Its main function seems to be to just invert everything or turn it into grayscale. Unfortunately, this includes images which can lead to some awful results on most sites. It's also useless in the Settings and Extensions and other system level areas of Chrome. So you will still need to invert your colors at a system level to see those. Chrome needs better support for people with low vision, and sadly, this doesn't go far enough. There is another Extension that I have tried called Deluminate, which frankly is far better than this. It still can't invert the system areas, that's a Chrome limitation, but in every other respect it is far superior.
Works poorly on many sites, such as myyahoo.
je suis dégu',les photos ou images sont en négatif et ça cache pas mal de choses,trés déçu;il y avvait 1 appli? dans le chrome web store j'crois mais je ne la retrouve pas, sniff §
A serious bug in version 0.5. When i scroll through pages, it leaves strips of the page rendered weird. The facebook videos shake while playing. Also, need better control over the colors we are choosing.
Good idea, and I want this to work, but it needs work. Screws up some websites (e.g. Google Calendar). Also wish there was another colour option for websites with predominantly white backgrounds (e.g. depending on RGB value, reduce by percentage).
