Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.

When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in your web browser.

Privacy assurance

OneTab is designed for privacy. Your tab URLs are never transmitted or disclosed to either the OneTab developers or any other party, and icons for tab URL domains are generated by Google. The only exception to this is if you intentionally click on our 'share as a web page' feature that allows you to upload your list of tabs into a web page in order to share them with others. Tabs are never shared unless you specifically use the 'share as a web page' feature.

Additional Benefits

Storing tabs in OneTab can also speed up your computer by reducing the CPU load and memory (RAM) usage of your browser. Even a high-end computer can become sluggish when many browser windows are open, because each open browser window may constantly consume resources.

For those of you losing your tabs, I've found one solution because software that I now publish (it was handed over to me a few months ago, but has been published for nearly 20 years) was causing it... Mac utilities such as Yasu for Mac and probably others, will clean out the local storage folder to free up browser cache, which deletes the One Tab database. As of yesterday, I figured out the Yasu was removing the Local Storage items when I did a test and realized that all my saved One Tab data was gone. Fortunately, I've recently put together a plan to keep my tabs safe, by exporting my data and saving it in iCloud and updating it every day or two. I was back up and running in a couple of minutes, but when I realized that Yasu was doing it, I got thinking that at least a few people here are probably having the same issue. I've fixed Yasu to not remove the Local Storage data in Chrome and am going in to see if it's been affecting Firefox as well. Hopefully this saves a few people the grief of losing One Tab data...

This is seriously one of the most useful Chrome Extensions! WIth over 2 million users....at this point, Chrome should just have this built into the browser!

Very handy. Good medicine for those of us who suffer from a slight case of OCD about our bookmarks. Update: Spoiled by dark modes in many apps, web sites, etc. Would be nice addition to this extension.
