Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.
When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in your web browser.
Privacy assurance
OneTab is designed for privacy. Your tab URLs are never transmitted or disclosed to either the OneTab developers or any other party, and icons for tab URL domains are generated by Google. The only exception to this is if you intentionally click on our 'share as a web page' feature that allows you to upload your list of tabs into a web page in order to share them with others. Tabs are never shared unless you specifically use the 'share as a web page' feature.
Additional Benefits
Storing tabs in OneTab can also speed up your computer by reducing the CPU load and memory (RAM) usage of your browser. Even a high-end computer can become sluggish when many browser windows are open, because each open browser window may constantly consume resources.

My favorite extension
Edit: Dropping to 4 stars... Love 99% of the changes, however... having the app pinned to the extension bar is my choice... having the app pin itself to the tab section is absolutely annoying :/ Constantly unpinning/closing tab since I only want it to show when I need it to. Unable to find any settings in the app to change this. If there is a separate option within Chrome, is unclear. Never had this issue prior to the update, so I have to guess that it's something with the app, not Chrome. ---- Realizing my initial review was Dec 9, 2014 & still 5 stars!! Love the latest update, however I completely understand everyone's frustration with the changes. Not sure that Google even has a way of supporting/sending out an "Upcoming Changes" for extensions/apps. That said, I agree there's is a learning curve to the new system, but thankfully everything appears to A) be intact & B) Much easier to organize with far more options than were previously available. Thank you for the effort that you've put into maintaining & Updating this!
I would have given them a zero if it was an option. They pushed out an update and all my saved tabs are gone! I tried their stupid fix and it doesn't work. Whoever allowed for this release should be let go. I am going to find and replace this extension with an alternative.
Já era bom. Para mim o melhor. Agora com esta atualização ficou incrível. PARABÉNS!
Please please please turn it back, it can't even function with my device anymore I had to open console and force it to spit my tabs out before it would do more than pop up an empty grey loading box The new design is crowded and overengineered, please please please make it usable I can barely see what I'm doing Attempting to scroll with a touchscreen throws around links and files randomly it can't even tell me how many total tabs it has saved you took the equivalent of a service dog and switched it for a puppy that's not even housetrained
ใช้ได้ดีชอบมากๆ
Update: I followed the steps below (after >>), as per a reply to another review, and it seems to have worked. It really would have been great to either have some advanced notice that this was going to happen, or a notification after the update about potential issues and how to counter them (hinting for next time). Thank you to the developers for providing these steps! Original review: After the recent update, thousands of tabs - more than 16,000!!!!!! from over ten years of research and advocacy - are gone. This is unbelievably upsetting. (I would leave zero stars if given the option, at this point.) >> Chrome can abort the migration from v1 to v2 if there are huge numbers of tabs stored and it takes several minutes. To fix this: 1. Go to chrome://extensions in Chrome 2. Enable developer mode in the top right of the screen 3. For the OneTab entry on that page, where it says "Inspect views", click the "Service worker" link 4. Go to the Console tab in the window that appears 5. Type the following and press enter: chrome.runtime.reload(); Then wait a few minutes for the tabs to migrate.
Update: i managed to restore the tabs myself. The new OneTab version has some good improvements. After the automatic update to the new version i lost all my tabs which were over 60000! I have saved them a couple months ago but i still lost many new tabs, links. The bad thing is that they are not grouped now. This is the second time this happened, the first one was many years ago after a chrome update or crash (chromes fault), i don't know anymore. I tried the "chrome.runtime.reload();" thing and it did not work for now. Not cool, there were very important links! You guys need to keep that in mind. My tip to users: make a back up once a week.
where exactly did ALL my PREVIOUS Saved & organised Tabs Disappear to ???????? please put them back, I am trying to look a few of them up atm but it looks like they are deleted by you (?) please give them back Thanks
The extension is very useful and works perfectly. I've been using it for over three years. It was recently updated to v2, and I noticed that only the last saved tabs were showing. I contacted the team via their contact form, and they replied almost immediately. They explained that there was a bug where Chrome would pause the migration process from OneTab v1 to v2 if it took too long, and they provided a solution that fixed it.
