Update 24.09.2021: I guess a lot of people disliked the sudden degradation of functionality, so much so that developers reverted it. The Pricing page today reads "5000 workspaces" in the free tier. I had just deleted my account but, since this extension seems really promising, I will give it another go. I'll update my rating in the coming days, once the developers decide on the limitations of the free tier. Until now their "Introducing premium Workona plans" Tweet still mentions 5 Workspaces Original review 23.09.2021 I've read all the nice reviews and decided to try it out. I liked it so much I transferred my existing setup to Workona. I created 9 different Workspaces. That was yesterday. Today, 4 of these Workspaces have been locked as, for some reason, I've reached the 5 Workspace Limit! Well this did not apply yesterday (even some other reviews say they should be 10 free Workspaces) so how is it I cannot access my tabs?! I could live with 5 Workspaces for now if I could rearrange them but I can't, as they're locked! This is really really bad user experience!

Was happily using this until the most recent update and now I need to upgrade to pro or it does not work anymore. I find this deceptive and will remove it out of principle.

Used to adore this extension -- but now it is making users pay $7/month for features that used to be available for free. Absolute scumbag move from the dev. It's fair to want financial support for your product -- but creating an artificial paywall for features that were literally available a day ago is just lazy, greedy, and inconsiderate. Unless something changes soon, I'll be swapping to an alternative extension.

Suddenly it brought limits to 5. Will drop the extension as soon as I find some other extension that does the same

Best tab administrator I have ever used. No tab capacity limits that I know of, and all of your tabs are easy to find (if you organized it right). Each workspace (window) can stores open tabs, supports tab suspension, allows you to save bookmarks and sections of bookmarks, and has a notepad. Workspaces themselves can be grouped into sections; everything can be renamed. There's a tasks feature and a sharing feature I never use, too. Information can be exported whenever you like. Starting October 6th, 2021, free users will be limited to 5 workspaces and 3 resource sections for each workspace, unless you were a free user before the change (free users before the change may keep and edit all of their already-created workspaces and resource sections, though I don't believe they can create any more over the limit). This was actually supposed to happen a couple weeks earlier as part of their premium plan launch, but the only direct warning was a somewhat missable email. The CEO response can be found here: https://workona.com/blog/update-to-premium-plans/ At the time of writing, the cheapest available premium plans at $7–$9 a month seem sort of expensive just to obtain features that could easily suit a free, open-source tab administrator that could probably be designed to work locally on a device. Alas, not everyone can afford to be a web philanthropist vigilante, and Workona is hoping to go in the direction of business, not full-time charity. This is a rather bittersweet end to one of the most amazing free extensions in existence, but perhaps it was inevitable. If you are programmer looking to make a pure tab administrator (no tasks or sharing or integrated apps or stuff), definitely take inspiration from Workona's setup. It's a nigh-unbeatable tab management system—they're just looking to make it into a lot more, for a lot more. [Edited from the original disappointed review]
