I loved this tab manager for a while. However, now that they've implemented what I think is a steep pay wall ($9/month), most basic features like having anything more than 5 workspaces, restoring tabs, and sharing, renaming, or duplicating an existing workspace are unavailable for existing free users. If you can afford $9/month, it's great. I just can't justify spending that when there are so many other tab managers available.

Buyer beware: all earlier reviews mean very little now this extension has suddenly switched from fairly decent to buggy, expensive cash grab. Thank goodness there are better tab organisers out there.

24-09 Update: Like many others, I was very disappointed with the change in the business model where you need a monthly fee in order to get more than 5 workspaces. However, I really appreciate that the company has taken notice of users' reviews and have allowed for an extended period for us to adjust to either using 5 workspaces/another extension for our tabs. Totally understand that the company needs to somehow earn money but it's a hefty monthly fee. However, I do really like the features and will still recommend it to people who don't need many workspaces. Mid Sept Update: Was great until it suddenly decided to set a pretty strict limit my usage with the "premium" paid version 2023 Update: Very disappointed - when restarting my laptop, Workona does not automatically sign on. Once signed on, all windows and tabs within Chrome restarts and the workspaces reloads. As a result, you get both workspaces and the Chrome tabs previously opens. Sometimes Workona combines the ones they recognise have been repeated and closes the most updated Chrome tabs and replaces it with the workspaces saved and it causes MANY tabs I have previously opened to be gone into the ether. It is a mess. 2024 Update: Every time I restart my laptop, if I manually close all the tabs first, then it works fine, although occasionally, I notice that some of my most recent tabs/sites won't be saved in my workspaces (though does not happen often).

Great tab management features! I use it for years and always recommend it for everybody. By far it's the best app to manage tabs, keeping your resources/bookmarks organized and even write some notes when needed. Recently had changes to the pricing. I don't like having the limitation on workspaces on the free plan, imposing a hard limit on workspaces is like limiting the number of folders on a bookmark app. Doesn't make sense and remove the incentivise of being more organized.

Used to be great, increasingly buggy as time has gone by presumably due to superfluous features added. Looks like classic scope creep. Switching away as many others are/have due to cynical tactics now being used to monetize. Used to recommend this to all where I work - now I'll be recommending something else.

For free usage of this plugin, a basic feature like using workspaces (groups of tabs) now has been limited to a maximum amount of only 5. Only 5 workspaces - really? So, Workona wants people to pay at least $7 on a regular basis, just for grouping browser tabs and some extra features (I personally didn't ever use, nor desired). What a disappointment. This smells like a ripoff to me, to be honest. Workspaces should remain unlimited for free, all the extra bells and whistles can be charged for any amount Workona can dream of. Yes: I know they also have a referral program now, to earn some value to use this plugin for free, but I'm not feeling into doing all that effort, just to be able to save my browsers tabs in workspaces, to me that's not worth it. From now on I'll use the default features baked into Google Chrome instead, they provide this for free now.
