The Gener8 extension empowers you to control and be rewarded for your data.

Simply add it to your browser, create an account, and select a mode of your choice: In 'Rewards mode,' you earn points by browsing the Internet as you usually would.

You can spend your Gener8 points on real-world rewards: exclusive deals, auctions, gift cards, free products, or even donate them to charity.

We also limit big tech from tracking you, reject annoying cookie banners, and block intrusive ads.

In Privacy Mode, you get all the benefits of Rewards Mode without earning points. Choose this mode if you'd like a completely private browsing experience.

The choice is yours.

Love the concept. Points seem to rack up quickly. Just wish the marketplace had more options and was restocked more often (but hopefully as it grows that will happen)

I'm sure it works fine but I think the idea is highly immoral. How (I think) the system should work: websites are free to use, the website gets to show you targetted advertisements and the revenue the creator gets from views and clicks is payment for the service they provided you, the work they put in for you and the cost of running. How this works: all advertisements get blocked, preventing the free website from earning revenue. Instead, yet another advertising service, just like Google and Amazon but with even greater access to your browsing habits, swipes almost all of the money. And for what? The fraction of a cent that you get for interacting with the advertisment. It's not just immoral to create ad-blocking extensions; you as a user are preventing creators from monetizing their creations even though you get most of them for free. All you have to do is let the advertisement sit there on the page - this isn't 2005: the advertisement almost certainly won't jump out at you or start flashing red and yellow telling you've won $1m.

Have to spam your friends before you can earn anything, avoid, basically a pyramid scheme

This is a great concept and I really hope to see this grow and become the norm of how target marketing works. Giving back to the people that adverts take from.

Great to have a reason to see ads, still early days but look forward to seeing it's progress

It's clear that this extension is still in its early stages - e.g. I haven't been able to buy anything on the Marketplace yet as everything is out of stock - but at the same time given what I've seen so far I'm very optimistic about Gener8. It seems to run very well without causing any slowness which is also good. My hopes are that all ads will eventually replaced with Gener8 ads, rather than just banner ads, and also once they have better backing from advertisers etc. that the Marketplace is restocked more often, but apart from that it's all good so far!

Love this idea. I've built up over 200 tokens in a couple of weeks' browsing (I'm probably a slightly heavier-than-average user). Not had chance to buy anything with them yet, but looking forward to doing so.
