Hover your mouse over any image on the supported websites and the extension will automatically enlarge the image to its full size, making sure that it still fits into the browser window.
This is an open source version of the original HoverZoom extension which is now overrun by malware and deleted from store. In this version all spyware has been removed, many bugs were fixed and new features were added. It doesn't collect any statistics by default. The only permission it needs is to access data on all websites (to extract full images), and *optional* permissions to access browser history, download/save images or get tab urls for per-site configuration.
Sometimes sites change design and when it happens extension needs to be updated. Please report any issues with zoom not working by using Support tab or https://github.com/extesy/hoverzoom/issues page.

This extension is one of about 6 that I deem must haves. When I'm not utilizing VMs to provide a sort of poor-man's sandbox for my activities, the next best solution is utilizing many browsers and segmenting your day to day activity; banking = browser A. Social = browser B. etc, etc. I only mention this because every time, regardless of that browser's designated purpose, HoverZoom+ gets DL'd within the first 10 min. Every time. For well over half a decade now. The upkeep is truly impressive(yes I know FB and google images are currently ahead in the game of cat and mouse but just wait, I'm betting that Oleg will have his extension back on top, despite facing who knows how many teams of well-paid devs looking to thwart him and his brilliant but entirely harmless to their platform extension - HZ+).

The very best extension... but no longer? For the past few months this hasn't worked in Google Images or Facebook, and neither on many other sites. Once upon a time: it was perfect. OPEN SOURCE FTW
was using it perfect until new fb interface in 2020 and old interface will closed n next month, anyone can fixed it ?
