I've been using this for years and recommend it all the time. Something odd has been happening in the last week or so. The column to the right of my timeline has disappeared altogether, and I have a very wide timeline. This means that I don't see things like people's birthdays. Don't know why this is. The other thing that just started to happen today is the column to the right of timeline is back, but it's overlayed over my timeline??? So when I type anything, the more I type, the words get hidden behind the column to the right. Weird.

Doesn't keep settings. Have to keep re-specifying preferences. Doesn't natively sync user settings across multiple browsers like other extensions do.

I didn't know how well this works until one day when I had to disable it. Suddenly I was inundated with ads and posts that I never normally see. This is an absolute necessity if you want to enjoy facebook without ads
