This is an open-source extension that changes homepage of Youtube (only search bar) and drops recommendations/comments from other pages.
Extension requires access to Youtube website to change its outlook.
Extension icon opens a popup with an option to show/hide the comments section of a video (to check timestamps in comments, for example). In the latest version, an option to temporarily disable the extension was added.
You can hover over the YouTube logo to access the navigation menu – playlists, liked videos, watch history, etc.

JUST GOATED!!! Reduced my yt screen time from 3 - 4 hrs to 30 mins and less
I really like this extension and it actually helps because you actually have to know what video your going to watch before you watch anything, the only thing I don't like is that its too easy to turn off, i would suggest putting a password on it so you have the option to for example give that password to someone else so if you ever want to desperately watch youtube shorts or just watch something for fun then you can ask for the password.
The extension is fantastic. I use YouTube for ambience and classroom and music and getting rid of the distractions is perfect.
