It will help you optimize your video viewing by allowing you to make quick playback speed adjustments, as well as rewind the video to hear the last few second one more time. We don't read at a constant speed, and we talk much slower than we read - there is no reason why we have to listen at a constant speed and at a (very) slow rate.
Once the extension is installed simply navigate to any page that offers HTML5 video, and you'll see a speed indicator in top left corner of the video player. Hover over the indicator to reveal the controls to accelerate, slowdown, or rewind the video (10 seconds + lowers playback speed). Or, even better, use your keyboard:
- S - decrease playback speed.
- D - increase playback speed.
- R - reset playback speed.

Just before I start. YOU CAN MOVE THE CONTROL ANYWHERE ON YOUR VIDEO BY DRAGGING IT WITH YOUR MOUSE!!!! MIND BLOWN or I am just DUMB.... Now on to your regularly scheduled review. I rated this 5 Stars Because it says VIDEO SPEED CONTROLLER not youtube video speed controller and So far that seems to be true and it works. I have played video on a variety of platforms and it worked. Youtube, Rumble, UTREON Etc. IT works. And the Code is on GITHUB if you want to check it.

I can't increase the speed more than 2x. does it work? If yes then please help.
Had worked great up till a couple of weeks ago on Opera, now the speed controls don't load on every second YouTube video - the page just keeps loading (with the vid already playing without the speed controls), and you either have to manually stop the page loading to make the controls appear, or wait for like 2 minutes for them to finally load in on their own. Very annoying, if it gets fixed in Opera, will be perfect again )
amazing and everything I need. When I'm working with a new device I always find myself missing the short cut keys to speed up/down and fast forward/backwards. Really helps me navigate quickly in videos.
