I purchased a lifetime sub to the original SpyBar back in 2014 and that was an amazing tool! It was disabled a while ago but I kept it installed hoping it would come back and that day is today with this new version! The older version was so helpful for me while building my web development business (18 years now!) and I know that this newer version is going to be even better. I'm literally writing this review before I even have had a chance to test drive it because I just know it's going to be fabulous and I'm SO HAPPY to get my SpyBar back!! No other tool that I've tried has been able to replace it. I cannot thank you enough Rob!!
The Spybar extension by Rob Cornish is a really helpful tool. I am using it on a Microsoft Edge browser and it works perfectly, well done Rob. I endorse what others have said in the other reviews.
Spybar created by Rob Cornish is a brilliant tool. It gives you a view of what tools websites are using, allowing you to see and copy what they're doing. Rob has created a simple Chrome extension - it's quick and easy to install, pin and use! Many Thanks to Rob!
The original was great. The new version is orders of magnitude more informative.
Spybar is a brilliant tool created by Rob Cornish. If you want to do a Deep Dive into what tools successful Websites are using, then this is a must go-to tool, that allows you to quickly see and copy what they are doing. Rob has created a simple Chrome extension which is quick and easy to use. Very helpful.
This browser extension is such a handy tool, the things you can find out from a simple click on any website you like the look of, or represents your competition, is simply amazing....and I don't need my browser colour picker or font analyser extensions any more...everything you want in one place...just loving it...and its from Rob Cornish one of the really good guys of the internet...thank you Rob...you have saved me a great deal of time and effort.
SpyBar has become one of my go‑to tools for quick website research. I used the old version of SpyBar for a long time and it was definitely starting to feel outdated, so this new version arrived at exactly the right moment. The modern, clean UI and much more organized layout make it a clear upgrade over the previous release. I build websites with WordPress, so being able to see a site’s CMS, WordPress theme, and plugins with one click is incredibly helpful. I’m also a graphic designer, so the built‑in color palette and font detection are a huge bonus—it’s perfect for grabbing inspiration and understanding a site’s visual system without manual color picking or guessing typefaces. Overall, the new SpyBar feels faster, more polished, and much more useful day‑to‑day. It’s a simple, visual way to understand the technology, design, and business setup behind any site I visit, and it fits perfectly into my WordPress‑focused, design‑driven workflow. Kudos to Rob and the team behind it!
